How to Make Keto Pizza
Don’t worry, this isn’t a cauliflower base. Not that there’s anything wrong with veggie crust, but that doesn’t lend itself to a dessert pizza pie.
No, for this recipe it’s time to call in the keto flour patrol. No all-purpose white flour here. It has way too many carbs to be a viable option.
Instead, I started with an almond flour base. I love, love, love the taste of almond flour crust, and my backup squad of ingredients really brings it to life.
Flax meal joins the party, adding some healthy fat and lignans, which may reduce cancer risk.
I wanted a nice buttery crust, so I added some ghee or clarified butter. Ghee contains less lactose than butter, which is a nice bonus for those who struggle with lactose.
Cinnamon is a great dessert spice that’s obviously featured in this recipe. But to add just a bit more sweetness without sugar I used erythritol.
Doing Dessert on Keto
The misconception that you can’t treat yourself on keto steers many away from its benefits. Don’t fall into that trap!

Pizza base –
Cinnamon pizza topping –
- 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) ghee, melted
- 1 teaspoon (2 g) cinnamon powder
Coconut cream topping –
- Preheat oven to 400 F (200 C).
- Mix all the base ingredients together to form a dough. Roll out into a round flat pizza crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes. Flip and then bake for another 5 minutes.
- Mix melted ghee and cinnamon together and spread on the pizza crust.
- Place into freezer for 1 hour to cool down.
- Mix together the coconut cream and erythritol. Let cool for 30 minutes in the fridge. Spread across the frozen pizza crust.
